About KJ Alpacas

Our Mission Statement

"Breeding for the highest quality colored Alpacas while enjoying the lifestyle, and most important of all, the most amazing creatures in the world.....ALPACAS!"

KJ Alpacas is located southeast of Red Deer, Alberta.  Red Deer is located in Central Alberta only about an hour and a half from either Edmonton or Calgary.

KJ Alpacas is a family business.  We decided to raise Alpaca's shortly after our first Alpaca meeting in the Spring of 1998.  It was love at first sight.  Our children are still actively involved with the alpacas even though they are now out on their own.  Our herd identifier is a mix of our daughters names, Stephanie and Alyssa (ALYST).

We currently own approximately 50 alpacas.

We are current members of A.L.P.A.C.A. Club, Canadian National Futurity,  Alpaca Canada, CLAA and AOA.  We both have spent many hours volunteering in the industry.  James is also a seasoned ring steward and looks forward to working in the US as well as Canada.
